OCDP was fortunate to receive a grant from the Australia Youth Trust to provide oxygen concentrators to Popondetta General Hospital. Due to an intermittent supply of oxygen, the hospital regularly struggles to provide this basic necessity.
An oxygen concentrator delivers oxygen through a process that concentrates the air supply around us into an oxygen enriched gas mixture. The regular supply of oxygen for the hospital is normally through oxygen cylinders. However, these require refilling and funds are not always available.
Grants from the Australia Youth Trust aim to provide assistance to children and adolescents in the developing world. This equipment is providing a basic need to sick, young people in Popondetta.
